IQ Option Withdrawal Rejected 2026: Causes and Solutions

Verification Failures

The most frequent cause is verification: checks not yet finished, documents that disagree with the account profile, or a proof that has passed its validity window and needs replacing.

Before any money leaves a regulated platform, the account holder has to be established. Where that is incomplete or inconsistent, a payout request cannot be released and comes back to you. This is the easiest family of causes to fix and the easiest to prevent.

Unfinished KYC

Identity and address verification must be complete before a first withdrawal is released, and payment-method proof may be requested as well. If any part is still open (a document uploaded but not yet reviewed, a step you started and did not finish, a request sitting unread in your notifications) the request will not clear. Check the verification section of your profile before you assume anything else is wrong. Our KYC guide lays out the stages in the order they run.

Document mismatches

A document can be perfectly genuine and still fail, because what a reviewer assesses is consistency across the whole file. The recurring mismatches:

  • The profile name is shortened or reordered relative to the ID.
  • The address on the profile differs from the address proof, often after a move.
  • The payout destination is registered in a slightly different version of your name.
  • Accents, hyphens or middle names present on the document but absent from the profile.
  • Details that disagree between the identity document and the address document.

Fix the profile first, then re-upload. Reversing that order produces a second rejection for the same reason.

Where the profile itself is the problem

It is worth separating two things that look identical from the outside. One is a document defect (a blurred photograph, a cropped page, an expired passport) which is fixed by capturing a better file. The other is a profile defect, where the document is fine and the account details describing you are not. The second is more common than traders expect and it is the one that survives repeated re-uploads, because every new photograph of the same correct document disagrees with the profile in exactly the same way. If a document has been returned twice and you cannot see anything wrong with it, stop re-uploading and read your profile against it line by line instead.

Expired proofs

Identity documents have expiry dates and address documents have a recency window set by the platform. A passport past its expiry is not acceptable however clear the photograph, and an old utility bill fails even though your address has not changed. Use your most recent statement or bill as a matter of habit, and check the ID you are about to upload is still current. The documents guide covers formats, framing and what makes an upload pass first time.

Most verification rejections are a mismatch, not a missing document — align the profile with the paperwork, then resubmit.

Method Conflicts

The second family concerns where the money is going. Payouts return to their source, destinations must belong to you, and a closed account or the wrong currency stops a request before it starts.

These rejections often surprise traders because the request looked fine on screen. The conflict is between what you asked for and how payout routing works.

Same-method breaches

Money is returned to the method used to deposit, up to the amount deposited, with surplus profit routed to an alternative rail. Asking for the whole balance to go somewhere the platform cannot send it produces a rejection or an automatic split you did not expect. Read the same-method rule before your first payout and the confirmation screen will make sense. A related and firmer rule: the destination must be registered in your own name. A card, wallet or bank account belonging to a partner or a relative will not be paid, and no explanation changes that.

Closed payout accounts

A cancelled card, a card replaced with a new number, a closed wallet or a bank account you no longer hold all break the return path. The money is not lost (it bounces back to your trading balance) but the request fails and time is spent. If the deposit method is gone, contact support before submitting: supply evidence that the original is closed and proof that the replacement destination belongs to you, and ask for the payout to be routed accordingly.

Wrong currency

A destination that cannot receive the currency being sent, or a wallet account denominated in something else, can cause a failure at the receiving end rather than the platform end. The symptom is similar: the request does not complete and the funds return. Where the option exists, withdrawing to a destination in the same currency as your trading account avoids both the failure and the conversion cost.

ConflictWhat you seeFix
Destination not the deposit sourceRejection or an unexpected splitAccept the routing; keep a second verified rail on file
Destination in another person's nameRejectionUse only accounts in your own verified name
Card closed or reissuedFailure, funds returned to balanceEvidence the closure, prove the new destination, ask support to reroute
Currency mismatchFailure at the receiving endWithdraw to a destination in your account currency

The destination has to be yours, live and reachable by the routing rules — check all three before you confirm.

Amount And Limit Issues

Every rail has a floor and every account has ceilings. A request under the minimum, over a cap, or larger than the balance available to withdraw is declined automatically.

This family is the most mechanical and the easiest to avoid, because the cashier displays the applicable values for your account and method at the moment you request. Read what is on your own screen rather than relying on a figure quoted elsewhere: these values differ by method, country and verification tier, and they change.

Below minimum

Each method carries a minimum request amount, and a request beneath it will not process. The minimum can differ between rails on the same account, so a figure that worked for a wallet may be too low for a bank transfer. If your balance sits just under the floor for your preferred method, check whether another available rail has a lower one. Our minimum withdrawal guide explains what drives the level.

Above daily cap

Per-transaction, daily and monthly ceilings exist and vary by verification tier, method and country. Requesting above one produces a decline rather than a partial payment. The usual answer is to split the amount across several requests within the applicable ceilings, or to complete a higher verification tier where one is offered. The limits guide covers what moves these ceilings.

Insufficient balance

The amount available to withdraw is not always the number at the top of the screen. Open positions tie up margin, a pending withdrawal already reserves funds, and promotional balance may not be freely withdrawable while its conditions run. Close or account for open positions, subtract anything already requested, and work from the withdrawable figure the cashier shows.

  • Read the minimum and maximum shown for the specific method you selected.
  • Withdraw from the available balance, not the total balance.
  • Split large requests rather than pushing against a ceiling.
  • Remember that fees or conversion can affect what actually lands.

Take the minimum, the ceiling and the withdrawable balance from your own cashier screen, then size the request to fit all three.

Compliance Flags

Compliance rejections come from conditions attached to funds or from monitoring rules every regulated firm has to operate. They are procedural, and they resolve once the underlying condition is addressed.

This is the family that most often gets misread as hostility. It is not: a CySEC-licensed firm is required to run these checks, and the same rules that occasionally slow your payout are the ones that protect client funds.

Bonus wagering locks

Promotional credit generally comes with conditions, and until they are satisfied the associated portion of the balance may not be withdrawable. A request that includes it can be declined or reduced. Read the terms before accepting any promotion, and be clear about what accepting it does to your ability to take money out. Declining a bonus is always an option if you would rather keep the balance unencumbered.

Duplicate accounts

One person, one account. Where a second account appears to belong to the same individual, payouts on both can be held while it is resolved. This sometimes happens innocently: an old account opened years ago and forgotten, or a second registration made after a login problem. If you think you may have more than one, tell support rather than waiting for it to surface during a payout review.

Why these checks exist

Client-money rules and anti-money-laundering obligations are conditions of holding a licence, not optional policies a firm applies when it feels like it. The practical trade-off is that a small number of ordinary payouts get paused for review so that the whole client base sits behind segregated-funds and identity rules. Seen that way, a compliance question on your request is the same machinery working in your favour on every other day.

Suspicious patterns

Automated monitoring looks for patterns rather than judging individuals: depositing and immediately withdrawing to a different rail, a sudden change of country or device alongside a new destination, or activity inconsistent with the profile on file. Any of these can pause a request for human review, and a review can end in a request for information rather than a release. Answer what is asked, keep your answers consistent with your documents, and the matter closes. A flag is a question, not a conclusion.

  • Check any promotion terms before accepting the funds.
  • Keep to a single account in your own name.
  • Respond promptly and consistently to any information request.
  • Keep your profile details current, particularly after moving country.

Compliance holds are questions with answers — supply what is asked and keep every detail consistent with your documents.

Correcting And Resubmitting

Fix the cause, then request again. The funds are still in your balance, so the whole exercise is a correction cycle: one careful pass is far quicker than several hurried ones.

Once you know which family your rejection belongs to, the recovery is short. Work through it in order rather than jumping to a resubmission.

Reading the reason

The platform states why a request was declined, in your notifications, your e-mail or the transaction record. That message is the single most useful piece of information you have, and skipping past it is what turns one rejection into three. If the wording is generic, look for what it points at (verification, method, amount or a condition on the account) and check that area first. Where it is still not clear, ask support what specifically needs to change, quoting the request reference.

Fixing the root cause

  1. Identify the family: verification, method conflict, amount, or compliance.
  2. Verification: correct the profile detail that mismatches, then re-upload a current, clean document.
  3. Method: confirm the destination is yours, open and consistent with the deposit source; contact support first if the original method is closed.
  4. Amount: re-read the minimum, the ceiling and the withdrawable balance on your own cashier screen and size the request inside all three.
  5. Compliance: clear the promotion condition, resolve any duplicate account, or answer the information request in full.
  6. Confirm no document request is still open before you go back to the cashier.

What not to do while you fix it

Two habits turn a single rejection into a long week. The first is submitting the same request again immediately, on the theory that the decline was random. It was not: the same conditions produce the same outcome, and each attempt occupies review capacity that could have gone to your corrected request. The second is uploading extra copies of documents that are already in the queue, which lengthens the queue rather than drawing attention to your case. Change something specific, then submit once. If you are unsure what to change, one clear message to support asking exactly that question is faster than three attempts at guessing.

Requesting again

When the cause is fixed, submit once. Copy and paste destination details rather than typing them, check the confirmation screen line by line, and submit on a business day, earlier rather than later, so the review begins immediately. Then let it run: a request that has been accepted and is progressing through pending and processing does not benefit from being cancelled and re-entered. If it slows rather than fails, that is a different situation and our delays guide covers where the time actually goes.

Nothing described on this page is unusual for a regulated broker, and none of it means the money is at risk. Regulatory status was checked against the CySEC public register on 3 September 2026, where the operating entity appears as IQBroker Europe Ltd (formerly named IQ Option Europe Ltd) holding CIF licence 247/14 issued on 30 July 2014 under Cyprus company number 327751. Rules, limits and document requirements change, so confirm the current position in the platform cashier before you resubmit.

A refused request is a correction cycle, not a verdict. The money never left your balance, the reason is stated on the request, and the only thing that turns one refusal into several is resubmitting before you have changed what caused the first.

Read the stated reason, repair the underlying cause, then submit one clean request rather than several quick ones.

Common questions

What happens to my money when a withdrawal is rejected?

It returns to your trading balance. A rejection stops the transfer; it does not remove the funds. Once you have corrected the cause you can request the payout again from the same balance.

Why was my withdrawal rejected when my account is already verified?

Verification is only one of four families of causes. Check whether the destination conflicts with your deposit method or is no longer active, whether the amount sits outside the minimum, ceiling or withdrawable balance, and whether a promotion condition is still running.

Can I withdraw to a different card if my deposit card was cancelled?

Usually yes, but not by simply entering the new card. Contact support before requesting, provide evidence that the original method is closed and proof that the replacement belongs to you, and allow time for a manual review of the reroute.

How soon can I resubmit after a rejection?

As soon as the cause is fixed. If it was a mismatch, correct the profile and re-upload first; if a document is under review, wait for the outcome. Resubmitting an identical request before fixing anything fails for the same reason.

Does a rejected withdrawal harm my account standing?

No. Rejections are routine corrections in a regulated payment chain and are common on a first payout. What matters is addressing the stated cause; repeated identical resubmissions simply lengthen the queue.
